AHCS Refund Policy

 

Andrea’s Home Care Services (AHCS)
Compassionate Care From The Heart

At Andrea’s Home Care Services, we strive to provide consistent, dependable, and compassionate non-medical home care. Our Refund Policy is designed to protect both our clients and our caregivers while following standard Home Care Agency (HCA) regulations and best industry practices.

1. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are available under the following conditions:

A. Unused Prepaid Hours

If a client prepays for services and does not use all scheduled hours, AHCS will refund the full remaining balance of unused hours.

B. Canceled Services With Proper Notice

Clients who cancel services with at least 24 hours’ notice are not billed and will receive a refund for any prepaid time.

C. Caregiver No-Show or Agency Cancellation

If AHCS must cancel a scheduled shift and a replacement caregiver is not available, clients will receive:
✔ A full refund for the missed hours, or
✔ A credit applied to future services

The client may choose which option they prefer.

2. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds cannot be issued for:

A. Same-Day Cancellations (Less Than 24 Hours Notice)

If the client cancels a scheduled visit with less than 24 hours’ notice, the shift may be billed in full to compensate caregiver time blocked for that assignment.

B. Completed Caregiver Hours

Hours already worked or services already delivered are non-refundable.

C. Holiday Premium Rates

Time-and-a-half holiday service rates are non-refundable once the shift has been completed.

3. Emergency Cancellations

We understand emergencies happen.
If the client experiences a sudden hospitalization or medical emergency, AHCS will:
✔ Waive the 24-hour cancellation fee
✔ Refund any prepaid unused hours

Proper documentation may be requested for verification.

4. Method of Refund

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used at the time of purchase unless otherwise requested.

Accepted refund methods:

  • Debit or credit card return

  • ACH bank deposit

  • Check issued to the client or authorized representative

Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.

5. Disputes or Concerns

If the client disagrees with a charge, cancellation fee, or hours recorded, AHCS encourages immediate communication.

We will review the concern within 3 business days and issue corrections or refunds when appropriate.

6. Compliance Statement

This Refund Policy is written in accordance with:

  • State non-medical home care regulations

  • Standard HCA (Home Care Agency) practices

  • Ethical caregiving guidelines

  • Documentation and billing transparency requirements

AHCS strictly provides non-medical services. We do not bill insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare. All payments and refunds apply only to privately funded care.

7. Policy Updates

Andrea’s Home Care Services reserves the right to update this policy to remain compliant with state laws and industry standards. Any changes will be posted on our website.
